Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is famous for its large population of parrotfish and Green sea turtles. The place serves as a nursery area for young turtles. More so, it is celebrated for being Hawaii's first Marine Life Conservation District. Interestingly enough, the preserve is notable not only for its biological richness but also as a significant Hawaiian cultural spot. In 1952, archaeological evidence found in a shelter cave behind the beach revealed ancient campfires and tools.
