Franconia Notch State Park

Franconia Notch State Park is situated in the heart of the White Mountains and is home to Cannon Mountain. The area became popular in the 1930s as a ski resort but its picturesque landscapes have made it also attractive in summer. The nature lovers will enjoy a myriad of opportunities for a meditative rest, since the park is suitable for camping, swimming, hiking, and fishing. Until 2003, the park was also known for the “Old Man of the Mountain” formation recognizable around the country.
