125th Street is a cradle of African American culture, the popularity of which reached its peak in the 1920s and 1930s. Apart from the Studio Museum and the Church of St. Joseph of the Holy Family, take a tour in the Apollo Theater that served as a stage for such renowned stars as Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder, Billie Holiday, and Aretha Franklin.
